For the little ones in the communities
Kindergarten St. Nikolaus New kindergarten in timber frame construction for a healthy feel-good climate in all rooms
In Hausen im Tal in Germany, a kindergarten was built as a KfW 40 building in timber construction. The former church garden provided space for the new nursery for the community's youngsters. A building was erected here that had to fulfil a wide range of requirements, including the lowest possible maintenance costs for the municipality. In addition to the new premises for the nursery, a multi-purpose room for the congregation and toilet facilities for those attending church services were created. The diffusion-open construction has a positive effect on the overall indoor climate. At the same time, the single-storey timber construction is restrained in terms of urban planning and is subordinate to the listed church building. Thanks to the high level of prefabrication of the walls and roof, the construction time was limited to just over a year. The architect and carpentry firm complemented each other perfectly and created a house that makes children's hearts beat faster and also fulfils all other requirements of the parish, embedded in the impressive rocky panorama of the Danube valley.
